I don't if it works for all cities, but I think Chicago looks great in sepia.

Wow, I sure do love #1. (#2 is a close second, lol) I've never seen sepia done with so much contrast and white. Love it for your subject!

Can you share your technique and/or software?

Thanks.
they were raw files taken with a Nikon Z6. just after sunrise so sides of buildings are really bright. In photoshop, I really crank up the texture, clarity and dehase. Additional sharpening in Topaz. Several masks to brighten dark parts and darken bright areas. Duotone in photoshop called "BMY 2 sepia" There are four difference levels of the sepia. It does take a fair amount of playing around to find the right mix for each image - but being retired I got nothing but time.

Thanks so much. I use PS Elements and Nik Collection, but this will give me a great starting point.

It certainly displays the contrasts between the old and the new. Specially with the Marina Towers vs the buildings across the Chicago River in the first and the Tribune Tower with Wrigley building across Michigan Ave crowded by the taller newer buildings in the third.

Thanks for shaking some cranial cobwebs.
