I did a fair bit of editing, I really liked a red look too, made the foam look like flames. However, the original intent/vision from this from the start was going for an 'ice queen' look. I did some edits making the image glow and with a paler blue look that was more icy, but after a bit of experimentation, this was my favourite look, it was just bolder and more dramatic, making the foam look more dangerous and spiky and the darkness of the edit looked more natural given the bright BG.

it is your work, your decision, but the filter that gives a very red, fire look would probably be exciting!

Absolutely. The model I'm sure will share some of that work. She does her own editing too and was very into the fire look.

I try to make a decision and move on quickly. I do multiple shoots like this a week and if I over analyze any particular shot it puts me behind. If I come to publishing this shot or using for an exhibition I'll return to the raw file and explore multiple avenues, but at this stage it's just an idea and I might in future try the idea again but knowing that I'll go with the flame look...potentially incorporating water spray in some form to look like sweat...shooting on a red background with smoke and really ram home the concept.
With the cool white bg of this I just felt I wanted to smash out the ice look.

This is an interesting photo. The shaving cream adds a lot of texture to the photo. Well done.
