I am looking for a camera strap that connects to the 2 lugs on each side of the camera. I also don’t want anything with a quick release. I would love leather or something that is comfortable around the neck. Using a Nikon D610 and D850 with motor drive and 300 mm lens or maybe a little larger. Thanks
I would look at a brand called Lucky Straps out of Australia.
https://luckystraps.com/They have several models/styles and you should find one that fits your needs.
I have three of them and they are of top quality, the materials and craftsmanship are top notch as well.
I use Op/Tech for the heavy stuff and Peak Design for the. lighter weight equipment. Advantage of Peak Design is the ability to do a quick change form one body to another.

The Op-Tech products are great, and well priced. I use, and really love, The Peak Design straps. Best of luck.

Why no quick release? I have a UPstrap that is perfect for those big DSLRs. Bought it and then sold my D850 so hasn't even bee used. Will ship it to you for $40. PM me if interested.
Personally, I am leary of a leather strap for it can and does, degrades, and fail. I used leather slings on all my rifles and I was on a hunting trip when one broke causing the rifle to fall causing the barrel stuck in the ground filling it with dirt. Nylon or Kevlar is my material of choice for all cameras and other gear that I carry in the field including my belt which serves as a multipurpose survival tool.

Find a leather crafter in your area and see if they would make a custom leather strap for you. The nice thing about having it custom made is you can specify what you want in the strap. I have made three leather straps two for myself and one for my sons business partner who wanted a camera strap for his rebel camera and he specified that he wanted it to have something that referred to the Marine corps. If I remember correctly I did post some photos of the finished camera strap in this forum.
I have two robust camera straps to recommend, but they both have quick release features. They are from Op Tech and Peak Design. I love the Op Tech model because its strap is very wide to offer good support for my heavy D850 and heavy tele lenses like what you have. Check out the Pro Strap or the Super Pro Strap. The attachment connectors come in different options, another nice option.
I also use the Peak Design Slide strap.
Another option is to attach the camera or lens with a tripod collar mount to a Kirk Strap with a Arca Swiss Clamp. The camera or lens will need a arca swiss plate or similar device.

Your neck will get tired quickly. Look for a sling...

Where can I get a motor drive for my D850? How does it attach to battery grip? Optech strap for me. Its stretchy design takes pressure off my neck that has herniated disks.

I use an EDDYCAM Strap. They are made of Elk leather and are so soft and comfortable. The only down side is that they are a little pricey.
https://en.eddycam.comThe animal head imprint in the leather is that of a moose, not an elk. Frank

Many of the better modern straps today have quick release features. Most people who use them find a quick release to be very convenient. I use the straps made by Peak Design. Their quick release anchors will not disengage accidentally.
I agree. I don’t have to keep a strap on every body, just those I’m using. Also makes it easy to remove the strap when I’m on a tripod. I use both the Peak Design Slide and the Slide Lite.

Yes it is. The straps are made in Germany and their website says it’s elk leather because the moose is also called a European Elk. In German “moose” translates to “elch”.
