We waited till it was almost dark for the Osprey to return to the nest. My photography buddy sent this shot to me for my Birthday.
Thanks, great image. However, I have to ask why we call it the Forth of July? Why not the real name: Independence Day. We don't call Christmas the 25th of December, we don't call New Years Day the first of January. This is the only holiday I can think of called by date instead of its official name. That sucks the meaning out of the holiday. It is supposed to celebrate our independence and pay tribute to those who sacrificed so much to give us our freedom.

Yes!!! waouh, this is a great photo! I love this strong symbol. The flying osprey as a silhouette along Your national flag ... happy day of indépendance and happy birthday!
It looks 1000 times better than our "coq" on the shirts of our national "blue team"!
Very true, we tend to refer to it as the 4th of July consequently forgetting its true historical significance as Independence Day. It just happens to be my birthday as well.

Happy birthday! Don't eat any more cake and ice cream than I would (not a very severe restriction).
Appreciate all the great comments! Thank you everyone!
