We got back to Monument Valley from Valley of the Gods barely in time for the sundown, but I hope you enjoy being in one spot and watching the progression of sunset, dusk, moonrise, and a moonlit landscape. As you can see in the final image, we had a beautiful full moon.

Very nice landscapes and I really liked the progression in the series

Thanks so much, Jim! I was hoping it wouldn't be boring with the same foreground...merely a chance to share the experience of going from sunset to moonlight.

Nice set. I've actually not thought of doing a moonlight shot there. That's really cool.

This was my first look at your beautiful photos. It’s a great set to showcase the end of a perfect day. I agree about the western landscapes. I just love Utah and its beautiful parks and scenic roads. Very different from living in the east.

I had hoped to keep the three main monuments in all the series I took, but the restaurant/patio has bright lights all night and they infringed on the west mitten once in the hotel. If you plan a shoot, you might want to go out to the parking lot for the moonlight shots, or maybe get a top floor room to the far south end of the hotel. (We were in the middle section, 2nd floor.)
