But he took it to somebody else's house - and left it there! He also stole a hubcap from a car dealership, and tried to get into several moving cars. More than just a few bricks short of a load!!!

Be interesting to find out if he had recently been released from prison, and was using the petty thefts as a way to get back inside.

Story does not say what time of the day or night the burglary took place. If it was burglary in the night time, it would be a very serious offence.
One of the essential elements of common law burglary was
breaking and entering in the nighttime. According to Blackstone:
"the malignity of the offense does not so properly arise from
its being done in the dark, as in the dead of night, when all
the creation, except beasts of prey, are at rest; when sleep
has disarmed the owner and rendered his castle defenseless

My thoughts, exactly! That's one tough court!
I'm so confused, who arrested him?
Investigators spoke with the caller near the 2000 block of Woodward Avenue on June 28 who stated they felt there was someone inside their home. Officers located Zachariah James Baney, 30, of Lock Haven a short time later by police from a different department.

$100,000 bail Seems appropriate if he breaks into MY house... may be too much for most people’s houses
And they walk among us...
