I've got an old but beautiful 500mm Nikkor Reflex (mirror) lens, which is a lot of fun to use on my D850 (esp. because it's so much lighter than a refracting one). It would be perfect with a polarizing filter but I can't find one anywhere. (I've seen 87 and 92 MM filters available, but not 88). Can anyone help?
You need a step-up filter ring from 88mm to 92mm or a combo of two that will do the same. Then you can get the 92mm CPL filter.

Many thanks, ecobin. I actually have a 95mm filter which I briefly used on a 500mm tele that was just too heavy for me. I'll visit Kenmore photo and see if they can help me.

You might need a SERIES Filter (really odd vintage) to fit that. Their sizes are different and stranger than regular threaded filters. Also some Reflex lenses use filters at the rear element instead of front and are thus much smaller. As far as I know, no one has manufactured Reflex / Mirrored camera lenses for years. Telescopes are a different matter.

Find an 88mm step-up....
None of those sizes make sense. I wonder if they are simply measurements with a caliper rather than mfrs specs ?
Normal std specs are 77, 82, and 95mm.

The 1983-2005 model uses 82mm in front and 39mm rear, both commonly available. No hey problemo .

All you need is an 82 to 95 step up ring.
I have bought similar larger rings from Adorama, in stock, and cheap. I spoze that B&H also carries them.
Success! B&H had one (1) 88-95mm step-up ring for $68, special order (4-6 weeks). Then, to old reliable eBay, which had one for $25 and will be here next week.
As I said above, this lens is fun to use because of its weight and compactness. Biggest negative is the weird bokeh (blurred donuts). Optical quality is excellent but of course, it's manual focus. Results coming soon.
