I had a "get off my lawn" moment. Some out of towners (see!) were kayaking and blasting a radio, asking each other if there were any fish in the lake. When It started to rain they left.
People from around these parts don't know that the rain usually only lasts less than an hour and is intermittent.
With the last bit of light the Heron caught a fish and looked at me as if to say, "get off my lake".

This Heron and I sat in the rain until it got dark. Shots a bit grainy because of inexperience and the lack of light.

Don’t confuse low light with bad light. You had sufficient light, diffused by the clouds, which eliminated any harsh shadows, making for some very nice images. A great photographer once said β€œThere is no such thing as bad light, only bad use of light”.
