trump was derelict in his duties to the United States on January 6, 2021 once they got him back to the West Wing, refusing to ask his rioting Insurrectionists to leave the US Capitol Building.

From grabbing women's pussies to grabbing the throat of the secret service agent in the vehicle on January 6th; Trump is consistent. There are too many similar behavioral similarities to mention.
One should not be judged on one impulsive, stupid act; but a long-standing pattern of stupid, reckless, self-serving behavior tells everything about a man. Trump is a jerk, capable of anything to serve his narcissistic insecurities. His history of mendacity, and crude behavior defines Trump.

Trump wanted to join the Proud Boys (armed with AR-15 and various handguns) up the Capitol steps. He imagined himself to be Braveheart, and wanted a war-time, dramatic photo shoot.
The hearing today provided further evidence that Trump’s attempt to stop the certification process failed. Trump gained absolutely nothing that he wanted on January 6th, except cause the death of a few people, and expose his illegal attempts to remain in power by hook or by crook.
Trump should have stayed in bed on January 6th. He caused himself serious political harm, and gained nothing with his evil intent. If he would have malingered in bed, there would be no insurrection, and no investigation.
