Our friend and fellow hedgehog member Regis (Regis Tolbert) recommended I check out Fernan Lake in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho while my family was on vacation last week. Thank you Regis! A beautiful area of the country that no one knows about. Let's keep it that way! Our rental car had California plates.....whoops!
We hiked a lot of trails, ending the week with Canfield Mountain Natural Trail.
The last two are cell phone pics.

A friend used to live there, and he always talked about the beauty of the area!
Thanks, on Canfield trail you can see Montana to your left and Washington State to your right. Took us 3 hours 45 min. to go almost 5 miles round trip. Brutal hike...on all fours ascending to the summit....we had no business being up there in our running shoes!
Really nice!! Beautiful!! The Wood Duck photo is incredible!!
Very nice set - looks like a great place to visit.

To late, I live north of Cda, the area is the fastest growing in the US right now. Just down the road a new house is being sold at 1.2 million. Giant infestation of Californians, not enough can be said about them. They love it here but want to make it just like the place they couldn't get away from fast enough.
Beautiful shots! Love the Wood Duck.

Yeah they didn't like our rental car cali plates. I'm like, dude, stop! I'm more rural than you in PA!
I understand as I lived in Denver in the 90's and the californians moved in.......
