It is pretty simple, close to a quarter of a million people are crossing our southern border each month, each of those persons have to pay the drug cartels between $4,000 and $10,000 for passage. Biden has done next to nothing to increase security at the border so not only are the cartels raking in Billions of dollars each month on human trafficking but the border patrol is over stressed and to busy processing and caring for the new arrivals that our borders remain very porous for drug smuggling. The cartels are not stupid, they know that when they release large groups in any one area then the border resources in that area become overwhelmed opening up trafficking lanes for their drugs.

Biden's policies are not only intentional but he does not give a shit about downstream collateral damage.

So Mazie, when 300,000 people died in a year from Covid we shut the whole friggin country down and stopped educating our children, destroyed 1000's upon 1000's of small businesses, and in many states would not even allow our children to go outdoors, we closed our parks, beaches, restaurants, churches.... and many other places, about the only things open in some communities were grocers, liquor stores, and big box hardware..... It was devastating for many and many are still suffering the after effects....

Now 108,000 die in a year from drug overdoses, fentanyl is killing our children, and Biden doesn't seem to care at all, in fact he is helping to make it happen.

How can one derive the number of persons entering the country from the number apprehended? By your method stricter enforcement, which would show in the number apprehended, would be an indication of laxer enforcement. Also, to determine how many deaths are caused by current policies you would have to compare to how many drug deaths are typical through several policies, not zero. With hermetically sealed borders (not even close to possible), the number of drug related deaths would not be zero. I haven't done the research, but I wonder how the number of drug deaths compares to the number of tobacco deaths. The Consumers Union book of Licit and Illicit Drugs, released in 1972, calls nicotine the most addictive substance on earth.
