I have been tryng for the last day to access MPB's website but every time it comes up, it asks which site I want to view, UK or EU rather than UK or US. They also have failed to reply to a question I sent them about a lens two days ago. which is very unusual as they have always replied to my inquiries the next day. I know they have made major changes in their website, most of which are not for the best, so my access problem may be part and parcel of their website revision but I thought I would ask if anyone else is having a problem with them.

MDT Mainer, thanks for posting that information, I had not seen that post before. I have had nothing but excellent actions with MPB, whether buying or simply inquiring, and had no idea that they were apparently degrading in their service. Hope they can get it all straightened, they have a couple of lens listed currently that I would like to buy. At 87 I do not have a lot of time to waste.

I just went to their website and was asked if I was looking for their UK site or wanted to remain on their US site.
Flip 1948, thanks for your post. I called up MPB after seeing your post and this time it was back to normal, asking if I wanted UK or US rather than previously asking if I wanted UK or EU. Guess MPBs website was having an off day yesterday. Of course, I just saw the post about MPB being a horror which now makes me wonder about buying from MPB. It seemed to me the greatest number of complaints on that website centered around trade-in problems, and, since MPB is an international firm, some of those comments originated in foreign countries. I repeated to MPB my query of a few days ago that they have never answered so if they don't respnd to that query I will look elsewhere for the lens I asked them about.

Lots of negative reviews on MPB lately. If you're looking for an alternative Robert's usedphotopro.com does a great job - it's my go-to for used cameras and accessories.

I just logged on and the choices were UK or US. Maybe you are using a computer built in an EU country. LOL

they got something screwed up that's for sure.
If I type in mpb.com I get the error page but if I type in mpb.com/en-us I get their website. Looks like their web server is misconfigured.
Just a quick perspective: MPB has been around for years and has always enjoyed a fine reputation. I just checked with the BBB website and they are listed with 47 complaints for the past 3 years with only 1 unresolved. These undoubtedly are less than 1% of their transactions! Probably they gave had some employee turnover or computer glitches for which they were unprepared. I too received the website choice of US or UK a few days ago, but right now (Sunday, 9 am, PST) the problem has been resolved. Give them a chance to restore their reputation! I sent them two Leica lenses for purchase last week, and (assuming I receive prompt payment) I'll send them a Leica CL body and two more lenses the following week. With the speed of the web, it only takes a few bad weeks to cause a long-lived business to crash completely. Please be gentle, lest it happen to your business or favorite vendor.

I have had very positive dealings with them, over the years. I am not going to rush and judge them because of a few that seem to have gone wrong. This pandemic has throwen a wrench into the works and it is going to take time to get it all back and running smoothly again
This a follow-up to my post of a few days ago about MPB.I received an answer today to the question I sent them a few days ago so they must be back on track now. Just wanted to clear up my earlier post about problems with MPB. They have been catching a lot of flak the last few days and I wanted to inject a minor up-beat post for MPB.

This was a duplicate of my foregoing post so I blipped it.

I've had good luck with both Roberts and MPB -- my unscientific study says that MPB often has slightly better prices, but Roberts gives you a longer period of time for returns (esp. if you buy from Roberts through Ebay)
