I lived in Brazil 14 years and been to Rio de Janeiro. You could also go to the sugar Loaf or Pao de asucar and ride the cable car, from there you have a spectacular view of Copacabana beach.

I love these photos. Beautifully done with the right amount of sharpness and saturation. It looks like your plan to go in the morning got you some heavenly studio lighting.
