I really enjoy her singing (different) and her swinging piano style, accompanied by excellent side men.

Haven't heard her for years, but then I haven't listened to jazz in years.
Great post, Mark!
This woman can really swing, both on piano and as a singer. My favorite offering of hers is the Live In Paris album, which features her regular sidemen, who swing really hard! This is the same tune from that live album:

Actually, the link I posted is from the same set of sessions that produced the album, but it isn't the same track that ended up on the album. If I was producing the album, I'd find it extremely hard to select a final cut for the album. That's how good this group is.

I’ve collected most of her albums digitally. Her voice is like velvet. She is married to Elvis Costello.
I've been a huge fan of hers since I discovered her "Live in Paris" album almost - what - 15 years ago.. Been to several of her concerts.
Although jazz is not my preference when listening to music, I do like her performances. Good voice, she really knows how to tickle those ivories, and as you say she always has talented accompaniment. All this wrapped up in an eye-pleasing package.
Ernestine Anderson’s version is my fav. Diana sings it too fast…
We must be in parallel universes (universi? Whatever...) This Krall album was my choice this morning...
Mark, I could listen to Diana Krall sing the dictionary. I think she has the most incredible style of singing, sexy like the old Julie London songs, can play incredible piano, does her own arranging, and surrounds herself with some of the finest musicians in the world. What's not to like!? I've yet to see her in person but have watched many of her shows on Utube. A gift to the music lovers! JESS
