The wildflowers and other blooms don't last long and there are many that are what remains of those from last summer so I feel the need to "get them while their hot".

This is a continuation of the recent series from the park taken with the Nikon Z6 with the S-mount 105 f/2.8 macro assisted with the dual-head bendy-arm flash diffused through Roscolux Tuff White diffusing material.

These are great, sippy. I'm just starting to get into macro, don't know if it will be a serious thing or not, but it IS fascinating!

Retired CPO, What also produces beautiful flowers with detail and soft fall-off is....a wide-angle lens set at an open aperture. You can get very, very close and it produces a dreamy result. I would often use my 17mm f/2.8.

Add a section of the extension tube if you want to get even closer...and closer.

Very good!
Btw I am now playing with the white polyester lining you mentioned recently. It is one of the best light spreaders that I've seen. Thank you for the tip!

Very nice Gary, I can imagine the first one hung on the wall in a striking fashion.

Thanks, Brenda. It reminded me of my bald head.

Nice!

That Gray headed coneflower Ratibida pinnata (your first image) is a beautiful North American native wildflower. I have some seedlings going here, but it will be a month before they bloom this far north.

The last image is of a Wild bergamot seed head.

Great stuff. Keep taking is on your strolls!
