Wowsa, what a fascinating and handsome photo subject!
I thought so too. As I said. it's not often you see one out in the open.
Again, another candidate series for high school biology books vs shark week. The colors suggest... eat me and die. Sroter, you were very patient, snails are not known for being faster than turtles... they come in 3 in the classing turtle hare race and so far behind they are not mentioned in the old Aesop fable...
Interestingly, the snail is looking and making a judgment call about if and how to cross the depressed area.
Very interesting snail. Have never seen one like it. Great shots with excellent perspective. Now I think my screen is slimy.
Great shots! Thank for suffering the wet belly to share these.
I am really enjoying this unusual photo model. The photos are captivating
Unusual subject, nice job on the photo. Sure is a colorful little fellow!
Cool shots, At least it didn't move so fast (like birds) that you could catch several shots.
Nice captures of that interesting mollusk. I’ve never seen a snail with a brightly colored shell in these parts - they are all gray or brownish in color.
