I've heard several versions of this, and they're all basically the same. If people can't agree on something simple, how can they agree on a world-wide plot and then keep it secret? Someone posted this online today.

Every conspiracy theorist should be forced to sit on a committee of any sort and see how hard it is to actually get anything done.

"The roof is going to cave in if we don't have it repaired."

"I know a guy who can do it."

"Oh, he charges too much. I know a guy who can do it for half that."

"But he is known to cut corners."

"We should have a separate committee dedicated specifically to the repair of our roof."

"Okay, that sounds good. Who wants to chair this committee?"

"Not me."

"I chaired a committee last month."

"I chaired one twenty years ago, and we're still not done taking care of the ghost problem."

"Let's shelve this for the next meeting. It's time for refreshments."

"Didn't we put this on the back burner last month? And the month before that? And the month before that?"

"Oh please. We've been back burner-ing this issue for the past thirty years."

Now, picture this happening with rival governments all trying to agree on what to do.

As often said by those in organized crime, "Two people can keep a secret if one of them is dead."

When there is a conspiracy, there is always someone with loose lips and as we know, loose lips sink ships!

The survivors are sharing over $1 billion in lawsuit results. That's over $8 million each - so far.

This sounds identical to the attempts every year to decriminalize marijuana in TN.
It always gets through the house by a narrow margin only to get tabled until next time by the Senate.
All that effort just so it looks like they are interested in reform.

i'm still waiting to find out who or whom killed JFK. It must still be in a committee.

Actually it was Benjamin Franklin said that. The difference between a Conspiracy Theory and Current Fact is about 6 months.

Never forget. A camel is a horse designed by a committee

Occam's Razor says that the simplest solution is most likely correct. This makes elaborate explanations, conspiracy theories, very unlikely.

Some will believe the truth, some will believe a lie and it seems that increasingly many don't know what to believe, therefore secrecy is not really needed, just muddying the water is enough.

The truth is usually pretty boring. Make up an absolutely ridiculous story, and it will spread like wildfire.

This week, wife and I went to the movie theater and saw the movie "2000 Mules." If you ever wish to see proof of a conspiracy, check out this movie.
