This guy must have had take out delivered all winter! He was a very pretty black bear. There were sows with cubs in the same area, my guess is this is daddy!
Downloads are pretty sharp. I really like the last one.
What, I'm hungry! Takes a lot of grass to keep this figure!

Nobody taught him to eat with his mouth closed. I was not going to tell him!

That does look like a very large bear. Very nice captures photolady
Excellent images with great detail...this guy is a brute of a bear!!
Those are all wonderful captures of a great subject! Hope you used an extra-long lens - these critters can get a little surly when approached, especially if there are cubs around! And they can sprint short distances at over 30 mph so it won't take long to cover a lot of ground. Like the sign says in Yellowstone regarding buffalos - "Do not pet the fluffy cows." Really nice work...
That is one big, thick coat he's wearing.
Looks like he's been around for quite some time.
I hope you had a VERY long lens! Nice shots
These are great shots. I would love to get pictures like that but I'm glad they're not in my area.
Another excellent set, Beth!
