I am curious if anyone else has received an email from “Nikon” advertising for 4 days exceptional refurbished prices. These are so good I’m afraid that it is spam. I am interested in the Z 50 with 2 kit lenses which is listed for $959.95 with 10% off. The sale ends tonight. Has anyone else seen and what do you think?
Go directly to Nikon's refurb website and see what's there...
Not a scam, Nikon runs these sales often. It’s a great price for a great kit!

It's real. I ordered a second 24-120mm f/4 zoom for my upcoming rail photography trip. It was $499 instead of $1099 and should be here Wednesday.
Thanks so much to all of you. I’m placing my order now.

I hope you love yours as much as I love mine. Very portable, and the lenses are great, compact, and very sharp. Read Ken Rockwell’s review of this kit!
I'm relieved that the sale ended yesterday. I resisted. I'm holding out for a $1,000 Z9.

Why don't you just go to the Nikon web page and confirm it's not spam?

I agree, I love this combo. I use mine a lot. What it cannot do in lower light, my Z6II will do.
My first DSLR was a Nikon refurb D80 in the late 2010s. Only traded it a couple of years ago. Go for it.

I came very close to ordering a second D850 also, but resisted in the end.

Yes they are. I have a Z7 and a Z50 kit. I only travel with the Z50 with 3 batteries, the kit lens, a 2x teleconverter and a 10y/o+ SB400. All small, light and the kit lenses quality, for the price, are amazing. You will not be wrong with the camera and lenses unless you need focus stacking (not available on the Z50) but this is not probably needed in a trip.
My Z7 is now used only with my Sigma 150-600 or for inside home work. My equipment to go is the Z50 with the kit lenses and, if I need portraits, an 85mm.
Go for it, you won't be disappointed.
