Long Ago and Far Away

I am going on 90 years of age and do not expect to be around in 10 or 15 more years. On my departure, I expect my trove of images will not be of interest to anyone I know, so if you will bear with me, I would like to share some pictures that I did save, not because I think absolutely superb, but because I like them enough keep and want to share.
My older photos were almost totally taken with a series of Nikon F Series bodies and mostly Nikor lenses. As age and decrepitude set in, I sold all that equipment and purchased Nikon point and shoots…P90, p610 and recently the p950 which restored my access to telephoto distances. I have been criticized by some UHH’ers for my later choice of cameras, but I now have a “toy” camera which fits my needs.

Was there supposed to be a link to images?

Is a “toy” camera defined by the model or by the end use? If we define it by the end use, then most people here have toy cameras.

thanks for the response. .and the question. I need to go back to computer classes; I'm blaming my troubles on my computer but you know that's not my trouble.
I actually composed a repeat with all photos and captions and closed out the screen without actually sending anything out.
I will try to retrieve my second attempt and/or do a third rendition tomorrow.

I feel your pain. I have a ways to go before I hit 90 but I sometimes feel like I'm closer to 100. Getting to where I do dumb things that I would have laughed at 20 years ago, now they aren't so funny!

After selecting the images to post you must click "add attachment" and wait until you see the photos load before you hit "send".

When you do retry please post them to the Photo Gallery and not here to the Main Discussion group. The Administrator will move them to the Gallery if he sees them here.

Thanks Flip,
I will shoot for the Photo Gallery. For some reason my photos are differently sized on the submittal [which actually went nowhere before] and I did click on the save original. However, on my preview, that didn't change anything. I will investigate sizes before putting out the replacement submission.
Thanks for your assistance.
Larry

Don't give up. I am 90 and sold my 5D IV and 7II and replaced them with a R5 & R6. Can't take the money with us.
