Took the tour awhile ago. Well worth the money. They had an Apollo era Saturn V rocket suspended from the ceiling. Talk about feeling small…..My wife was part of the Planning and Integration Team at Kennedy Space Center (KSC). They controlled all aspects of space shuttle prep…from landing until launch. What a great time to be working there. We, as Americans, really lost out when the space shuttle program closed without a replacement.
Amen to that Ken. There was supposed to be a 2nd generation shuttle but Congress & the president nixed that. So for years we paid more to the Russians to take our guys to the ISS than if we did it ourselves.
