Might work great for label removal though, especially on glass, but I would expect it to make plastics cloudy.
But the rubber part is already cloudy. However, alcohol will remove the stickyness but does take a long time and afterward the rubber doesn't have the same feel like when it was new. It's kind of hardened and smooth.
