I just use the free version.
Will never come close to 1,000 photos and do not care who sees them.
I I do not want people to see photos then they stay on my hard drives.
I subtract old ones add new ones as the mood dictates.

Were it just for me I'd feel the same way, but some folks I know are touchy about public access to pictures that involve them, especially if there're any kids involved or identifiable locations, etc. Also, if I do really get into it, the stat reporting will be a nice feature to have.

Are you still a member and if so, check your email from them as it might be that the special is only available to existing members to compensate for the change in terms??

PS... Gene, I went ahead and pushed the button on it and when I did it auto-filled the code "EMPRO25", so I'm guessing that since they showed it to me, it's not a secret. It was a little less than $106 including PA tax.

Yup! That worked for me too! Thanks! So they managed to get another $100 out of me ($99.73, actually). I just hope this stops the nagware . . .

The do not post children or other sensitive photos.
If you want to share then email or text.
But the receiving person will likely post them anyway so all the silly security was for naught.

I have somewhere short of 100,000 images scattered around on various devices and this will be the opportunity to finally do some purging, consolidating, organizing, and sharing. The sharing part will be a whole lot easier using an online display since some of those family gatherings over the years have run into hundreds of images per event. If somebody wants them all from a particular event, I'll snail mail or deliver a thumb drive or sd card. I've never had a smooth go of emailing large files, so I guess silly is in the eye of the beholder.

You should come up with a result by typing my username ''Niteman3D'' in the search box (I think you have to click 'search people' in a dropdown. The name on the account is Dave so you know you have the right one. Not much there at this point.

Yup... it needs to be fed. I had some of those pics of relatives who might not appreciate me sharing with the world that I took down thinking I wasn't going to use the site much anymore, then they had a sale and so off we go!

Thanks to everyone who responded and especially Vince and Paul whose Flickr presence show how a large body of excellent photography can be displayed on Flickr to great advantage. Now my work begins, but it will be easier knowing I have a place to go steal ideas from. 👍
