I'm going on a trip to Pattaya, Thailand and I want to know if I should buy "Super Jumbo" or "Mega Magnum" condoms?😜 I'll have my smartphone to take pictures while I am there.

Personally, I'd take "super duper" condoms, (maxi-pack currently on sale on Amazon). And I'd also take a box brownie and a sketch pad, no point risking breaking, or getting mugged for your smartphone. Hope you have a great trip, (oh and don't forget to bring "extra strength" antibiotic cream with you), some of the natives are not very clean! All the best, Ray.

That applies to me. I have used cameras for many years but two years ago got a Nikon D750 and ended up totally confused. Thank goodness someone on UHH is coaching me into using the Nikon a great deal better. I am very grateful!

Very nice, but a whoooole different topic.

BTW, if the D. Busch book for your D750 remains in print, get it before its too late.

Now back on topic: One of the reassuring aspects of the D. Busch books is that he never suggests specific lenses for specific destinations. Never grant cred to anyone who actually believes that there is any such connection. Its even OK to poke fun at them a bit for lacking common sense.

I will brag when I schedule my trip to Mars, then I bring a trunk with every lens I own; for now my best camera is my smartphone; a good smartphone has amazing features (Best panoramic images) and also helps to keep my shoulders even. The drawback is it makes feel that i am missing something, and I like to be seen with fancy equipment and long lenses. It gives me bragging rights and makes me look like I know what i am doing; also I get asked more often to take pictures from strangers. I use both, a good zoom with a mirrorless body and a smartphone; enjoy the trip and don’t let the gear get in the way of a great trip.

The only one on Amazon is the Fast Track guide and I have ordered it!

Doesn't matter where I'm going, if I'm going by car, I take a half dozen lens. If I'm flying, I take two: a 50mm and a 70-300. Also, an extender. Harry PS Well, maybe not a half dozen, the above two plus a 70-200 f4.0 and I suppose a 24mm. Oh, and the above 1.4 extender. Five counting the extender. In a leather plumber's bag. One camera flying, two if by car. Harry PS I'm comfortable with one camera, in over 50 years I've never dropped or damaged either a camera or a lens. Of course, now that I'm 91.... But on the other hand, I didn't damage anything at 90. :-)
