I spent last night in the Park taking night sky shots at various locations. This is up on the Park Loop Road on Otter Cliff looking back toward Sand Beach and Great Head. Thunder Hole is halfway back in that direction.
The lights of Bar Harbor shine up behind Sand Beach. A small crescent Moon was turning orange and heading down in the West.
Taken with a Nikon D850. Irix 15mm f2.4 lens. A Light Pollution Filter. 30" exposure wide open. ISO 3200.

Love it!

(I've never been in the park much after sunset, on Cadillac Mountain.)

Is the city afterglow on the left Bar Harbor and the right Winter Harbor?

Yeah, Bar Harbor is directly north of Sand Beach. And Winter Harbor is across the Bay more to the left
