THANKS to all those who responded and gave me info about Laguna Seca and Santa Clara; Gene, the owner of Laguna Seca was TERRIFIC - he set up fresh backgrounds for us for the birds to perch on, every day, resulting in some terrific photo opportunities from the blinds; plus, he is apparently an accomplished birder and photographer so he was able to give us lots of information. Hats off, also, to Marianne and Joe McDonald who spared no effort in making the trip a pleasure !
I agree 100%. Laguna Seca Ranch is really a special place. The variety of birds seen this year (Because of Gene’s) wonderful natural places for the birds to feed is one of a kind.
I would go back to Laguna Seca Ranch again in a heartbeat!
