In manual mode after dialing in my exposure values I go to focus in manual the picture hues change. I am using a EOS R With the 24 to 105 mm L lens.

Do you have constant preview enabled ?

Is the hue changed only while actually focusing and then it changes back ?

Do you focus in the center and then recompose for the final framing ?

It is rare for me to use other than AutoBalance, but for my IR-converted camera, it helps to do custom. Play around and see if Custom WhiteBalance helps:

For much of photography as in cooking, receipt cards help. Play around with the setting spices for particular scenes and write them down so several months from then, you refer back to how you did a well-tuned photo of a whats-it in a similar situation. My camera C-1 is set for photographing flowers blossoming with trash in the background. The C- settings tell your camera how to adjust to what you liked for a particular situation, I recall [?] my Panasonic TZ100 has 3.

Could your focal length be changing as you’re focusing? That could cause the aperture to change which would affect the photo. That lens is known for having lens creep, so it could be happening unbeknownst to you.

Focus peaking is a camera technology that helps you focus during manual focusing. It shows a false-color overlay on the sharp areas of your image in real-time.

I think you need to explain what you mean. How do you know the hue changes? Theoretically simply focusing can't change the image hue on the sensor. It's hard for me to believe you are misinterpreting "focus peaking" as changing hue. What happens when you shoot in other than manual mode with auto focus? I can't imagine what could significantly change image hue other than changing white balance.

Yes the hue is extreme while focusing but as soon as the shutter is used the picture looks normal.

This is what I experienced. This not happen when in auto focus.

This is my set up on the camera. I do not know what DPR stands for.

DPR - Dual Pixel Raw. Search your EOS R User Manual for this term and more explanation.

You seem to have a number of settings / overrides active. Such as Highlight Tone Priority active, even in Manual Exposure. Again, search the electronic (PDF) version of your user manual for this setting.

Look too at your exposure settings. At this point, you're asking the camera to apply a negative (-) Exposure Compensation for Auto ISO with a 1/60 sec shutterspeed and a diffraction-inducing small aperture of f/18, with Highlight Tone Priority active and Dual Pixel RAW active.

Why not try:

a) Set the EC back to 0, or even +1 to the right of the 0-mark?

b) Increase the shutterspeed?

c) Open the aperture and use values at f/13 or wider?

d) Disable the Highlight Tone Priority setting for Manual Exposure?

e) Disable Dual Pixel RAW?

See if all these setting adjustments help in how the camera behaves.

Never saw that when I had an R, or any other camera for that matter. You could go into the menu and check all settings or use the "Clear All Custom Functions" option.
