If you use quickmap.lroc.asu.edu you probably have noticed the masking and dithering of many areas of the lunar near side and poor resolution of the entire far side. Sometimes they overlook some interesting anomalies. I'm including an image of a crater that has been completely blacked out and another image of two small craters that they missed, having unusual objects within the crater rims. The second image also shows part of the crater rims looking as though they were removed for access.
Simply curious. Are these images just to show what you are talking about, or do you have images of the same regions that show better details? --Richard
Yes these two photos are available on the NASA site and go with my narrative. I do not believe you can gat any better than the resolution shown here. You must realize that the shot containing the two craters with unnatural objects are less than 100 meters across according to the scale that was on the screen. The highest resolution on "quickmap" is around 0.8 inches=50 meters on a 23 inch monitor. Have you tried "quickmap"? You will never look at the Moon through a telescope again when you do.
