MFT Distortion Correction

Hi, I am a newbie, so go easy on me!
I have a couple of questions concerning distortion correction of the Panasonic 7-14 lens (MFT).
(1) Is some sort of in-camera correction applied when mounted on the OM-D E-M5?
(2) Does LR4 apply correction for the same combination.
I don't notice much distortion when I take photo of typical brick wall.
Hope that you can help with my first post!
Cheers

LR can apply correction for some camera and lens combinations - but not all. You can set and save your own corrections in LR for future use.

Take a look at a program called DxO. They have lots of correction combinations.

Thanks Jerry,
I know that LR4 can apply corrections, and that I can create my own.
But how do I find out if LR4 does or does not correct distortion for my camera/lens combination?
Cheers

Sorry, i can't answer your question. Try posting it on Adobe Forum. It is an Adobe specific forum- I have had luck there and hope you will too.

I still need to identify if the OM-D applies any distortion correction to the Pana 7-14 lens similar to the correction applied by Panasonic MFT cameras.
Any ideas anyone?

As far as I can tell, Lightroom Version 4.2 still does not support the Olympus OM-D E-M5 camera.

I believe Version 4.3 has recently been released, but I couldn't find any information about it. I would only guess that LR 4.x will soon have an update for the OM-D because it is such a hot seller.

Looks like you will have to wait for 4.3 - the following is from Adobe: New Camera Support in Lightroom 4.2:
Canon EOS 650D / Rebel T4i
Canon EOS M
Fujifilm XF1
Fujifilm X-E1
Fuji FinePix F800EXR
Leaf Credo 40
Leaf Credo 60
Leica S
Leica D-LUX 6
Leica V-LUX 4
Nikon Coolpix P7700
Nikon 1 J2
Nikon D600*
Panasonic DMC-G5
Panasonic DMC-LX7
Panasonic DMC-FZ200
Pentax K-30
Samsung EX2F
Sony Alpha NEX-5R
Sony Alpha NEX-6
Sony Alpha SLT-A99V
Sony DSC-RX100
* Please note that the support for Nikon D600 is preliminary and there is a minor risk that the appearance of your images may change when the final support for Nikon D600 is available in an upcoming release.

My only idea would be to ask why Olympus would provide distortion corrections for lenses made by any manufacturer other than themselves? Am I missing something about a special Olympus/Panasonic relationship I'm not aware of?

According to Adobe, if you have Lightroom 4.1 RC2, your camera should be compatible so I assume will apply distortion correction too with your files.
