Last February I left a "trail camera" at my father's house... I expected its batteries to last a month but ten second clips of cats- plus a few deer, 'possums, birds, sixteen days was all it could squeeze out. But this clip is a quizzer... it is SOOC, I've done nothing to the file.

Whaddayathink?

I'll have to view your file on my PC later, no codex for it on my phone.

I've seen similar things on my doorbell camera and another security camera in by back yard. A very fine fiber such as a spider web is drifting around right in front of the IR light and lens. I know that's what mine are because occasionally the spider shows up on the camera, tending his web.

That makes sense... but wouldn't the web reflect along its entire length? Or, if the web strand acted like an optic fiber and only the ends illuminated, wouldn't there be more variation in height between the clusters? Dunno...

Orbs. Were you near a graveyard?

Not yet, but my dad's 95... I like the idea of Orbs... maybe a new, nocturnal orb spider...

Reflections into the lens. The light spots appear to be in front of the tree not behind it.

Yup, quite clear there's nothing between camera and the "action".... but reflection from what?

Sure looks like distant car headlights and some diffraction going on here. Just gotta luv that cute critter.

The house and camera sit about 35 yards from the edge of a hill. The hill's edge is marked by a stand of oak, hickory and such trees as are common to the area and the hill itself descends steeply away. The camera is pointed toward trees. Beyond the trees is a view of Greer's Ferry Lake (visible before the trees grew up) about two miles distant and 500 feet down- and toward Sugar Loaf Mountain- about 12 miles away. In short, there's nothing of substance in that direction... no roads, no lights... no ground...

It is a reflection (not a source) of something since the light goes in front of the trees as is slide off to the right.

I think you're right, TreborLow, but reflecting off what? how is it propelled?

Looks like they came to visit you, but all they found was a Armadillo and a camera, so they left. Maybe you should stay all night some night and see what they want.

It looks like a flying vehicle. UAP?

You say there is nothing back there like a road. But a distant lake? Are there large boats with flood lights on the lake? If so perhaps due to an unusual atmospheric lensing effect, the lights were from the lake.

Now, that is a weird one, for sure! I have seen a UFO, and was made a total believer in them. Possible! Any other way lights could be out there? Strange but a cool capture.

As we know now, UAP are real. But they are not our technology, and whatever they are, fortunately they are not interested in interacting with us.

That's interesting...in 1966 at Seymour Johnson AFB on night shift in the weather remote obs. site I saw an unusual, very high speed light that appeared to be a landing aircraft over Goldsboro. I mentioned it to the forecaster on duty and he told me very bluntly to forget I had seen it and not to mention it. In '66 we didn't own anything that would have been capable of the speed of that light. It traversed the horizon in about three seconds as I recall, and in my other assignments I never saw anything similar.

I know you said Deep Woods, are there any roads close enough so that headlights can be seen ?
