Love the photo! We have an old, hollow cedar tree that has been a “bee tree” for decades! We’ve lived here Oct 1974 and there was only one season that it was not used. It was old and used for at least 30 years before us. Occasionally there are swarms that come, or go. And no one has been stung!

The bees are busy with the wax leaf privet blooms and I wanted to photograph one in flight this time. It’s been great seeing so many since there’s a shortage of these pollinators in some areas. This one appears to be jet-powered.

Excellent close up, Craig!
