I didn't realize this was going to be all birds, but that's what Lake Apopka is all about for the most part. So there you go!
#1. Purple Gallinules doing their part for the next generation.
#2 and 3. Lesser Bitterns. My wife's favorites. Her shots. The day isn't complete until we see and photograph at least one!
#3 and 4. Two more looks at what I think is a hybrid Heron, Some people think it's a juvenile Little Blue. I know the Little Blue juveniles are marked more or less like this guy, but he is already bigger than a Little Blue. If he is a Little Blue juvenile we will have to call him a BIG Blue by the time he is an adult! Any way, whatever he is the BIF is better than the one I posted before.
