I am using Precision Color in my Canon Pixma Pro 10 and do not see any difference to Canon OEM cartridges. Precision does mention that their Red ink may not be as good and suggests continuing to use Canon for reds.

Additionally, they sell a small device that resets the chip so the printer sees a 'new cartridge' and also a small scale that is very useful in filling the cartridges.

I think the savings is at least 50% of the cost of using Canon ink.

Has anyone used 3rd party inks with an Epson 3880 Stylus Pro printer? What was/is your experience (good, bad, color fidelity, etc., etc.). I had to dump a HP color printer years ago because I could not find any more inks available - original equipment or 3rd party. I am starting to find matte black ink for the 3880 a little more difficult to find. Has anyone used 3rd party inks from InkOwls, a Canadian firm, or others?
Thanks for any information you may have.

I used Precision Colors in an earlier Epson with no problems and their service was great. Changed printers and Pecision Colors, to date do not provide ink for my Epson XP960 printer.

InkOwl had ink for my XP960 and I've used them for the last 2 years. Great ink (colors) and their service and prices are excellent.

Precision color. Excellent company has ICC profiles for their inks and different papers. Great service and a tone of videos on Utube with a fellow that is printer anal. Check them out. They only do Epson and Cannon printers professional grade like yours.

Many thanks to all that replied! Apparently, InkOwl is the new kid on the block as nobody mentioned them - I hope they would have been mentioned if their product/service was terrible.

I've used Ink Owl on my R3000 for years, no problems at all and great tech support (I've called 'em about getting my P800 switched over)...

I have used off brands for various sources on my HP and had terrible results. Sometimes the printer would not even recognize the cartridge, resulting in throwing them away. I also realize there are reliable no-OEM cartridges that work well. But the money I wasted does not justify my savings searching for a good 3-party ink. Like someone said I trust HP and never had issues and I was willing to pay the additional cost. I will try one of the recommended sources above one more time and see if the savings are worth it. Thanks for the information.

Another strong vote for Precision Colors ink and website. I refilled with their ink on my Epson R1900 until it aged out (mechanical issues, not inks or printheads). If you want to get started down the refilling path, Facebook acct: Jtoolman Photo Printing Techie is the home site for José Rodriguez' outstanding information and help and his YouTube site has upwards of 1500 videos on printers, refilling, problem-solving etc. Check out the Playlists for your printer, refilling how-tos.

I will begin to refill my new Epson XP-15000 printer as soon as I figure out how to go chip-less on my mac M1 computer setup (firmware is Window's based and I am not sure I want to risk attempting a firmware-disablement without understanding the process better.

I've used only inkfarm in my
12 yo Canon printer and no issues. I'm happy so never tried others but now I have different companies I'll look into them

FYI, I have an Epson XP-950 and I get ink from Precision Colors. I emailed Mike to ask about ink for my XP-950. He advised the Artisan 1340 inks are the same formula as the XP-9XX series. I tried them and made comparison prints. I've been using them for over a year and I can't see a color difference from Epson ink. Also, I recently purchased a waste ink pad set and reset code from InkOwl. Hopefully I've added several more years to my printers lifespan.
