The wood ducks started showing up here a couple of weeks ago. I always love it when I'm laying low with my camo throw cover over me hoping to capture some photos of them when unexpectedly something else shows up. Last year I had a turtle crawl up next to me, this time I had a little mink run up to me. Camouflage absolutely works.
There is a pair of pileated woodpeckers that are hanging around this same area. I hope I can locate their nesting site and get some baby shots. You know when they're around as they make their loud cries and rainforest sounds.
Outstanding!!
Your stealth, planning and execution paid off. The sharpness is remarkable also.
Great sharp images of all of these. Nice variety as well
