My dads quote about luck hunting also applies here "just in the right place at the right time".

With some degree of knowledge and understanding of photography, I concede that many of my favorite shots involved luck. Sometimes a great shot first becomes apparent while post processing.

Luck favors the prepared.
Being a street photographer that has taken thousands of shots I can’t remember once where I said, wow was I lucky here! However if you take out your camera once a year and as you're taking a photo of your son in his baseball uniform and find you also got a UFO in the shot, you’re lucky!! 👍😂
Good luck for me is when I have a less than stellar composition but there is something present that can be cropped into a beautiful composition.
Luck: where proper time of day; proper weather; proper exposure; good subject; proper composition; ... combine to yield a good image.
Planning? An attempt at having good luck.
To paraphrase a sports figure whose name escapes me at the moment, the more I shoot the more “lucky shots” I get.
Shoot, shoot, shoot.
This concept is not peculiar to photography. Can't remember the author - "The harder I work, the luckier I get."

Stan Lee said the greatest superpower he gave his characters was luck. Would you rather be lucky or have a mirrorless camera?
Even Canon makes mirrorless cameras!
An old sage once said: "The harder I work, the luckier I get!"
Still true.
The better I become as a photographer, the luckier I get.
