Verizon Wireless (VOICE) is down in Western States

Our cell phones can text but no voice. Verizon has two systems, voice and data. Their voice system is reported down in California, Arizona, Colorado and other locations. Back to smoke signals, tin can and wire, telegraph and flags.

I have been looking at their service map and it seems to be primarily west coast (San Diego to Washington), but Colorado and Nevada also reporting no service.
Someone was quoting a company worker who said "a power outtage was impacting a switch station".
Verizon has two major systems: Voice and Data. The data side with texts and email is working. The voice side remains out.

I drove into a brick and mortar Xfinity store and was told should be back up by 5 PM Seattle time.
