Max who at 10 is still living up to his name of Maximum Overdrive. Everything he does is high speed. Even begging for loving. He has been by my side since he came home as a pup. Today is actually the first time I went to work and he stayed home. Alice the Shepard Husky mix taught him all the rules and tricks of the trade. She was ten when I got Max and she was my best dog ever until him. It's only because of her upbringing and she had lead a terrible childhood that she had some issues. Not bad ones just from her terrible past. I hate people who abuse anything. Much less a dog.

I just happened to be online when you posted this, and just wanted to say how much me and my wife agree with you about abuse. When I met Jean in 2007 she was living in Mexico rescuing dogs off the streets and finding homes for them mainly in Arizona. There were easily 20 dogs or more about the house. Jean was English as it happened and so am I. I went out to Mexico permanently in 2008 from SW England with my GSD, Pharaoh, and just loved all the dogs. But we wanted to be married and I thought that we would be better moving to Payson, AZ. When we came through the US Border the officer said how many dogs did we have. I answered 15, all with their medical certificates. The officer leaned out and called to his fellow officer in the next booth: “Hey Jake, there’s a guy here with 15 dogs!” He then waved us through saying it was too much trouble to look through all the papers.
That was in 2010. Now we are down to 5 and living very happily in Southern Oregon! The dogs are wonderful. Perfect companions!

Pixel passed last year just shy of 16yrs, I have had Gucci Hamish now for 9 months also very abused used as bait dog 21 dog bites all over his body
