nice frames from a "not commun" subject! It seems, the "talent" let You come quite close to him. Did You come really close or is it just an effect of image crop?

We're also from PA, but farther south than you, I'm guessing. There is a two hundred or so acre lake in Fulton County called Meadow Grounds that was drained about ten years ago because of a deteriorating dam, but prior to that was the only place I had ever seen beaver in the wild (back in the 80's). It has been repaired and refilled (as of last year), but I must find out if it's open to the public yet. Don't know if the beaver still live in the area or not. Nice series of pics! Speaks well for detail when you can see the legs on the gnats above the beavers head when magnified!

Very close , I studied there habits and found out they have poor eyesight . If you are fairly well camo'd , not much movement and stand against a tree they are actually curious and will come within fifteen feet . To close to focus sometimes ! Thy are fascinating ! Any movements I make or when I leave they are out of site

Nice. Are those mosquitos hovering over it in the last photo?
