Glad to see them back....
Many folks don't realize that about 20% of a Hummingbird's diet consists of small bugs and spiders that they eat for the protein that they need in their diets. I was at a farmer's market the other day and saw a protein feeder for sale there, being that it looked like a pretty simple feeder I came home and looked for DIY protein feeders online and was pleased to see one made from an empty coke bottle... I have hung one already near one of my nectar feeders and will be adding another.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments... I have put the camera away for today but cosmo I will try to post a pic of my protein feeder tomorrow.
These are definitely Ruby Throated Hummingbirds, pretty much all I have ever seen in this area, wish we had more variety, the state lists a few others on their website but I have never seen them.
