No... there are too many rocks and boulders. Plus, it's typically very cold water coming from the Sierras. Not a good place to get in the water
Very nice image, especially in the download.

The Mokelumne river in Calaveras county is one of the best places to enjoy nature and decompress. This is just a 10 minute drive from my house.
Nikon Z5 and Nikon Z 20mm f1.8 s lens. For wide angle, this is one of my favorite lenses for my Z5. Very sharp.
If you ever get the chance, shoot the scenic Harpeth River in Central Tennessee.

Great image of a beautiful scene. Since this is close to your house, I'm sure you take advantage of the decompression that comes with being out in nature.
Excellent landscape shot. What a lovely spot it is!
Well taken! I wish I could spend some time there.

Amen to that! I used to work for a defense contractor at Beale AFB, and maintained an apartment in Grass Valley. For people not accustomed to that area, suffice it to say all of the beautiful rivers, lakes, waterfalls, are there because snow melts and even in June or July that fast moving water can get painfully cold. When you mentioned boulders, I can remember sitting next to the Merced River outside of Yosemite and hearing boulders, literally the size of a small house rumbling along in the current.
On the calmer side of things, I miss traveling back and forth between Manteca and Grass Valley through your patch of the woods and marveling at the scenery and especially the names Mokelumne and Calaveras which sound so nice, you just want to say them twice. Back then, the Lodi appelation wines were just getting popular… another great reason to stop locally.
I just wish I could have redone everything digitally, I was always burning through film and running out at the most in opportune times. I envy your ability to take advantage of your location, but I don’t think I can ever go back. Old age really hampers the ability to do some of the more mundane stuff. Thanks for taking us through your stomping grounds vicariously. Besides you’re a much better photographer than I.
