If you don't like it or it does not do what you want, Costco gives you 90 days to bring it back for full refund.

Thanks for the info on your laptop. Just a couple of questions:
Do you use the laptop for photo editing? If so, are you satisfied with the laptop performance?

Looking for recommendations on a PC laptop for travel. I will be taking an extended trip this spring to visit the National Parks in the west. I will be on the road for 6-8 weeks. I will need to work one day a week on the road. The work entails QuickBooks and MS Office applications. I also want to be able to do some photo and video editing while I’m on the road so anything that is powerful enough for that will be plenty powerful enough for the work stuff. What specs should I be looking for in a PC laptop? Thanks for any suggestions.

I saw in a later post you have a budget of $2k which will give you many options. For photo and video editing you want at least 16GB RAM, 32 would be better if the device allows it. A fast processor of course - AMD Ryzen or Intel i9. A Dell XPS 13 or 15 would fit nicely. Apple is great too but one that has the specs you need may blow your $2k budget. I have a 2017 vintage Dell XPS 15 with a 4K screen (one of the rare laptops with a 4K screen), 16GB RAM, 512 GB NVMe disk (better and much faster than SSD), built in SD card reader, and other niceties. Been serving me well and continues to do so. $1600 at the time at Microcenter. Basically you want a "gaming" laptop. If you have leftover money, invest in a good SSD external drive too 2-4 TB.

Do I use it for photo editing? I use it for everything.

I travel in an RV a lot so have only one computer. I use it for everything. It is a four year old Lenovo Legion. It has an i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, a 512 GB SSD, 1TB HDD and NVIDA GPU. It was a Costco special at $1100 when I bought it. It was missing an SD card reader so I use a Sandisk USB card reader. It is my second "gamer" in 10 years.

I have the full Adobe subscription and it runs everything well. I use both Lightrooms, Photoshop, Premiere Elements, Premiere Pro, Audition and After Effects. My video editing has been almost exclusively with 4K footage.

At four years old, this one may soon break. My laptops seem to get rough use from travel and, as my only computer, it gets used everyday. My next computer will be whatever "gamer" Costco has on sale. Gamer computers seem to have what it takes for photo and video editing and are always cheaper than laptop "graphic workstations". Costco has a fantastic satisfaction, money back guarantee.

If I wanted to spend in the $2K+ region, I would probably try to buy something like this: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1657101-REG/dell_kj37c_precision_5760_core_i7.html

XPS 13 WITH touchscreen. I do all my photo editing on it (Photoshop Elements). Color quality is excellent and screen resolution is 250 PPS on a screenshot, without zooming. If your camera has a chip you may have to buy a chip adapter, not expensive. Also, the newer XPS' have only USB-C Ports. So if you're using USB connectors, including a wireless mouse, you'll need an adapter or a USB-C compatable mouse.

If I were to replace my laptop, I would consider buying an Asus, which I currently have. You can get this new design for $1999. I first saw it advertised by B&H, but they do not have it in stock. You can find it else where such as Newegg. The laptop is designed for media creatives and would be over kill for your work needs.

Think Pads are virtually indestructible. Yoga Thinkpads have a hidden Micro SD slot in the back and I got a 512 GB Micro SD and put it in and Named it STORAGE. So I have a D drive now permanent in my Yoga X1 Thinkpad that also has a dedicated Pen that stores in the body. You can get them used for next to nothing and as I said are virtually indestructible.
