Yep just saw the outcome. It's not our fault we don't control the commodity market. Also if you actually analyse the record profits you will see they are online with the profits from previous years and decades. I did because I was curious.

Typical of the D's
Create crises then blame others and claim the only solution is to give them more power.

Profit as a percentage goes up with the increase in price.

Not defending them but just commenting that gross profits say nothing except they are really big companies. It us net profit margin that must be quoted .

For example. Walmart gross profit in 2020 was $130 billion. While Exxon in 2020 was $31 billion,
Yet both have net profit margins of 10%. Or less.

The oil producers are not the problem. These hearings are only being held in an attempt to get the pressure off
Democrats. They should have a hearing and call Putin to be examined. After all, Joey said all this energy stuff
was his fault. If we could get Putin here maybe Joey could take him out behind the gym like he wanted to do
to Trump.
Isn't it strange we never had these high gas prices and outrageous inflation til Joey took office?
He ruined us on energy the first day in office and hasn't stopped yet. Midterms cannot come soon enough!!

Biden did not say it was”” all “” putins fault. He said supply demand was the cause and the “ recent “ increases” was due to Putin's action

Be accurate

We import 2 percent of our oil. The demand that is driving up prices is basically Europe. Since progress has made it a world economy this is the result. We are all tied together for good or bad. I personally believe and can prove their are people who are very pleased with the results. They will continue to press for the demise if freedom so as to have no resistance in the future results.

Are you sure about the 2% . I thought we imported nearly as much as we export . About 8.4 million barrels per day. Our use is slightly under 20 million barrels per day.

Watch the first minute of this video where a reporter asks Biden about gas prices.

Yes actually we export almost a hundred percent of the oil we extract. Reason is our crude is what is called Sweet Crude. Our refinerys are only capable of refining basically sour crude. About 60 years ago our beloved representatives and the oil company exceutives decided it was better to import our oil than refine it. It's a deep rabbit hole to go down but due to the EPA restrictions and cost of building new refinerys we import almost all our oil. Research it. It's not easy but is true. We only import 2 percent of our oil from Russia. The rest comes from other countries. What prompted me to dig into it was I heard that we basically import all our oil. I couldn't understand how we could have been energy independent just a year ago and now we are not just by stopping drilling. The term energy independent is also not as the common man would expect. That is another conversation

Got it I didn’t know you were only talking Russia. I agree on the term energy “ independence “. It has become a political term lately and as such seems to mean nothing since most don’t have a clue. Sone don’t even comprehend what “ net” exporter means.

Yes unfortunately nothing is simply what it appears to be. My wife and I were just having a conversation about bills in the Congress. Example. Made up. Passing a bill to give child porn convictions a minimum sentence of 40 years. Yea we all are in support. But what we NEVER hear about is the 3 other things attached to that bill that we never heard about. Also I don't know anything about the supposed permanent ban on Russia. But if it truly a permanent ban on trading with Russia I'm not for it. Yes we need to ban the Russian upper class and industry that produces war supplies equipment ECT. But the Russian people are actually the ones who suffer. Look at US history. We did a lot of exactly what Russia is doing but our excuse was industry in Vietnam and people in Afghanistan. No we don't physically move in but we attempt to install a government we can use to our advantage. The history of Ukraine is way more complicated than the American people are aware. In 2014 we basically supported a change in government. Lol a polite way to say overthrow. The details of which the American public has never even heard of much less understand what happened. I personally feel Congress on both sides is more interested in pandering to votes than the good of the country.
