What was the objective of the cab over design? Looks like it didn’t make the mechanics job any easier.

That last photo really struck my interest as I have never seen, or even heard of, a Studebaker COE truck. Studebaker was always quite innovative in their designs as evidenced in their Pick-Ups whose design allowed the front and rear fenders to be interchangeable!

(Cab-Over Engine) configurations, allowed excellent forward visibility for drivers in tight urban environments with maximum cargo capacity, while offering very attractive Loewy styling in the bargain.

Wow, what a fantastic collection! I would like to see the same here in France! All those vehicles do have something unique.

I didn't know that COE stood for cab over engine. Never imagined anything like that

You have posted a lot of great photos of great old vehicles, which I thoroughly enjoy, but I have one question for you. What is the Godan1 Collection? Can you post any details about it?
