Speaking of Swiss Army Knives (and others) and the TSA. One of my local coffee group guys (now Passed on) had a contractor brother that was enroute through a terminal to be checked prior to boarding. He remembered that one of his favorite pocket knives was in his pocket, not wanting to loose it he noticed a large planter along the way, found one that was rather lonely. Monkeying around with some of his other carry on stuff he poked a hole in the dirt around the plant and planted his knife. Covering up the hole, and knife, his return trip home came to the same airport where he returned to the plant, resurrected his knife and returned home with his knife in his pocket.....carrying one of Grandpas knives could be a sad loss. Knives are a tool that many or most of seniors learned as kids, scouts, etc. were carried to be used to get ones self out of a jam; too bad so many ??? have made them an object of bad things. JimM

Nice tactic. True, times have changed so much. As kids we carried hunting knives in scouting & even bolos in school (for our gardening class). I still remember when I can sling a scoped rifle in my back and ride a motorbike without getting a second look. There is so much mistrust in our neighbors these days.
