Not true. He started with $60 debt (-$60) and a goat.
Simple math problem:
-60+70-80+90=20

Still elementary simple
Counting feed, and pasture fees, he's out $400 in the first month.
He’s a poor businessman. He got a good deal the first time, sold too cheap, got another good deal and blew it yet again by selling too cheap a second time. Unless that goat was a sorry sack of bones, it was easily worth $175. Instead of figuring how much profit he did make, we should be figuring how much profit he let slip through his fingers.
