Have seen a lot of that crossing Texas. You captured it well. (Although I'd be inclined to lighten it up a bit with PP.)

Agreed, I thought it was just the monitor on my old computer. Should have looked at it on the newer one. Thanks.

Very nice. I will be there in about a week and am looking forward to it. It has been about 30 years since I was last in West Texas and Big Bend.

I don't think you will find much change. Marfa maybe a bit more artsy but marathon is much the same. If you have the time the drive from Marfa to Ruidosa, highway 2810 is a pretty one. The last third through Pinto canyon is unpaved and you might hear it requires a high clearance vehicle but that usually means don' try it in a Ferrari. My son made it in a VW Jetta and we had no problem in a Toyota 4 runner. Hopefully you will get some wildflower and cactus bloom.

I see the road on Goggle maps. I'll be close but am taking The River Road from Presidio to Terlingua. I have fond memories of driving it when I was about 16 or 17 on a road trip when we went to see my sister when she was living in Van Horn. That was about 50 years ago. Funny, I'm going down to see my sister again. But not anywhere close to there.

Certainly beats I395 going to DC, I405 into LA, and the Chuo Expressway into Tokyo, unless you like staring at red brake lights for hours…
