Thanks. It has been difficult to capture any images of these guys in flight as they show up just around sunset and I lose light quickly. It is difficult to use a decent shutter speed without all the noise from a high ISO. They are also not very good at telegraphing when they want to launch from the water, and do so very quickly. Unlike other ducks, there is not the long take-off. They just explode from the surface of the water most of the time. There is also the issue with all the cattails since they prefer ponds with lots of cover. It has been fun.
