Some of the guys in my model airplane club are model boaters and held a regatta at a local lake recently. I took a lot of photos and here is part 1 of 2. There were a lot of geese and ducks at the lake too, so I took photos of them as well that I will post after the boats. It was getting challenging at the end of the day due to the shadows and approaching darkness. I took the photos with my Canon 80D in RAW and processed them in Lightroom. I got a 90D a week later.
The yellow boat in photos 2, 3 and 6 is 36” long and has a two-cylinder live steam engine that was made in Australia. In photo 2 you can see the steam from when he blew the whistle.
I haven’t posted anything in almost a year and haven’t spent much time on UHH because of other demands on my time (I’m only semi-retired and have been teaching about a 2/3 of full-time class load my university). Also, 13 grandchildren add to happy demands on my time. However, I have not stopped taking photos, including many from 3 trips to Hawaii in the last 9 months. More photos to follow. If things go according to plan (i.e., we don’t have our trip postponed due to COVID or the Ukraine war), I should have a lot more to share from a month in Europe this summer.
