I visited the Jordan dam area last Saturday, March 12th. The goal was to photograph osprey, who show up in mid-March. Sure enough, they were there, proof in the previous post from yesterday. 🙂
What was surprising was that the eagles, who typically leave (for the north, mostly) in early March, were still there. Not sure what caused a change in their plans, but one juvenile and one adult eagle decided to put on a fly-by show, and the adult also perched on the branch of a tree not too far away, so some shots could be salvaged without excessive noise.
Nikon D500, 200-500 mm f/5.6 lens.
FWIW (based on some helpful feedback on the previous set of eagle pics posted), I checked for any color 'distortion' from the side effects of applying Topaz DeNoise and Sharpening tools, and hope they are missing in the pics below.
I found that changing the picture control setting of the raw file to 'Flat' in View NX2, then trying to apply contrast and haze control settings in PP helped reduce noise - compared to starting with Standard picture control, which is my default camera setting.
Comments and critiques most welcome.

Thanks Gitchigumi for viewing and commenting. Indeed, eagles are majestic subjects. I wish though that they were less skittish about humans (especially photographers who only 'shoot' with their cameras) and would fly closer to us.
'Lesser' birds like crows, gulls and cormorants are quite fearless around us.
