A little gloomy, some drizzle, and a somewhat diminished crowd (at least to me from previous parades).

The color and the interesting faces totally intrigued me. I am limited to 10 images here. I have a bit more.

First, it was a parade (1) which had spectators (2-4). The remaining shots are participants.

these are wondersul, daldds...great job capturing the parade action!

Really nice work!
Parades have so many photo ops.
All the facial expressions and floats.
The smell of street food- not to shoot, but to eat.
(thankfully outside with very few masks these days)
We had much better weather here in Kansas City for the parade.
NY & Chicago have the largest, we're in 5th place.
No serious photos by me as I play tenor drum in a pipe band.
If there's anyone on here from Kansas City who shot the parade on the 17th or going to Brookside on Saturday, I'd love to see/use some of them for FB and it's nearly impossible to play and take photos.
We did make the front page of the Kansas City Star.

Sony A9ii. 24-105 Sony lens. ISO 320 f4 1/250 for all of the parade. It was a gloomy day with flat light. When I was shooting spectators close to me, I switched to auto ISO, f5.6 and 1/200.

I would have loved to hear the massed pipes. One of my favorite instruments. That and the fife and drums.
